The University of Queensland Biology Society is the best place for UQ students to develop their passion or interest in biology, receive academic support in biological fields, network with people in industry or academia and form friendships with others who share their love for biology.
We run events for members throughout the semester, including talks on succeeding in BIOL courses, trivia events, art competitions, honours presentations, movie nights, resume help sessions, the annual Zoo Trip and end-of-semester group study sessions. Absolutely not! Our members are mostly life science students, but come from all fields of study, from architecture to engineering. We’d love to have you no matter what you’re studying 🙂
BIOSOC membership is $6, or $4 if you’re a member of any SASS club. Becoming a BIOSOC member automatically makes you a SASS member, meaning you get to come to all the great events they run throughout the year and meet science students of all disciplines!
