UQ Pakistani Students’ Association

The UQ Pakistani Students’ Association is a Brisbane based club run by and for students of Pakistani/origin studying at the University of Queensland. The club aims to represent Pakistani students on campus, organise events and nurture an environment that allows both domestic and international students at UQ to stay connected to their culture. The club welcomes and hosts students and staff of all backgrounds to its events and has worked in collaboration with other international clubs on campus as well.

UQ Monarchist League (UQML)

We are a grassroots society that is spreading the message on campus and across the nation that our constitutional monarchy is the best system to maintain the political stability and security of Australia.

Ilm Club

Ilm Club was founded in 2015 with the aim of facilitating the learning of the Hanbali Madhhab, in particular, while also appreciating the scholarship of all the four great madhhaahib of Fiqh!

UQ Cyber Squad (UQCS)

UQ Cyber Squad, or as some like to call us; The UQ Hacking Club. We’re a band of proud Cyber Security enthusiasts who want to solve challenges and learn a thing or two. Plus have a lot of fun along the way!

Queensland University Games Society (QUGS)

The members of the Queensland University Games Society enjoy playing a broad range of game genres including abstract strategy, bluffing, cooperative, deck building, drafting, engine building, press your luck, role playing, set collection, worker placement, and many more. UQ Minorities in Media Society(UQMiMS)

UQMIMS aims to increase the visibility of minority groups (especially LGBTQIA+, Disability, and diverse cultures and backgrounds) on campus and promote our inclusion and perspectives within the literature, film, television, and poetry we consume!

Join us for discussion and sharing media within the group, as well as attending and supporting local events such as the Undercover Artist Festival and Pride Film Festival.

International Students Engagement Association (ISEA)

UQISEA is a multicultural association with the members from different backgrounds.
We aim to help new students to be smoothly adapt to new environment of living, studying and working in Australia. We are also working with other associations and partners to not only enhance social engagement of International students to local communities but also improve the quality of interaction amongst local communities and international students. What’s more, UQISEA also arranges varieties of activities helping international students to engage with Australian environment and to develop soft skills through interactions with local communities.

UQ Anthropology Society (UQAS)

The University of Queensland Anthropology Society’s (UQAS) mission is to build, maintain, and nurture a community of people interested in anthropology. Whether you took one course in anthropology 30 years ago, or currently completing a PhD with years of experience under your belt, UQAS is a place for people to come together and help each other discover what it is to be human. We organize events to facilitate thriving support networks, intellectual stimulation, reflection, and skills development.
Ultimately, we are just a welcoming, kind, fascinating, slightly strange, but hilarious group of people who make any excuse to help each other and have fun.

UQ K-pop Dance Club (UQKDC)

The UQ BIG BAND was established in 2007 and consists of students and alumni who major in a range of academic fields but share a passion for jazz and contemporary art music.

UQ Advanced Humanities Society (UQAHS)

Founded in 2021, the UQ Advanced Humanities Society aims to support students studying the Bachelor of Advanced Humanities. UQAHS creates a space for students to get to know one another outside the classroom setting, foster relationships across cohorts, and get the most out of university life. By working with course staff, UQAHS also supplements degree content with activities designed to further student’s understanding and skills.

UQ Formula Racing Society (UQFRS)

We are the UQ Formula Racing Society — lovers of F1, F2, F3 and Formula E, but basically, all that Formula Motorsport has to offer. We provide a community for both old and new fans, or anybody that is interested in learning more, to celebrate, laugh about and discuss Formula 1.

SBMS Student Academic and Social Society (SBMS SASS)

The role of the School of Biomedical Sciences Student and Academic Social Society (SBMS SASS) is to promote networking, collegiality and community spirit among all members of the School through the hosting of special events, activities and fundraising.

Australian Legal Philosophy Students Association (ALPSA)

Legal philosophy, or jurisprudence, encompasses a broad range of questions. These include, what is law, what makes a legal system, what sorts of punishment are appropriate and what is the goal of law.

By encouraging and rewarding the study of legal philosophy, both in law school and in legal practice, ALPSA seeks to uphold the importance, relevance and power of legal philosophy. In doing so, we seek to foster creative and critical thinking, and a sense of social justice, in our members and the broader public. We hold seminars, a national essay competition with cash prizes, and social events each year.

UQ Biotechnology Society (UQBTS)

We are the University of Queensland’s founding Biotechnology Student Society. We aim to provide socialising, networking and industrial events and opportunities. Thus, overall enhancing the student experience.

UQ Muslim Student Association (UQMSA)

MSA-UQ aims to provide the following:

a) To facilitate good relationships between Muslim students.
b) To foster good relationship and understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim students at the University.
c) To keep Muslim students informed about worship facilities at the University.
